Hi there from London, Ohio!

I'm Laura DeRose, owner of DeRose Travel Company, LLC, an independent franchise of Cruise Planners—and your go-to travel advisor, planner, and blogger! My passion for travel started early with unforgettable family trips to Walt Disney World (core memories, anyone?), and it only grew from there. At 18, I took my first international adventure, and I haven’t stopped exploring since. I’ve visited more than 20 countries across five continents, from the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean to the cobblestone streets of Europe and the wild landscapes of Africa.

My focus now on the blog is addressing locations and information for my clients that I also hope others find helpful. I'm still new at blogging and finally finding my groove. 

I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Hospitality Management, completed an internship at Walt Disney World, and have over ten years of experience in the travel industry—including event and conference planning. As a travel blogger, I love sharing destination inspiration, real travel stories, tips, and behind-the-scenes looks at what it’s really like to explore the world. Whether you're dreaming about your next trip or knee-deep in planning, I’m here to be your resource and travel cheerleader.

I spent several years in a University Alumni Tour program managing and leading group trips all around the world. I eventually want to launch my own brand of group travels led by myself, so keep an eye out. My specialties include all-inclusive resorts, cruises, cruise tours, destination weddings, group travel, rail journeys, international vacations, theme parks, and travel insurance—because even adventures need a safety net.

When I’m not writing or planning trips, I’m enjoying life on our small hobby farm in central Ohio with my family, our German Shorthaired Pointer, two inherited chihuahuas, and cat.
